Evangelism

The sermon focused on the importance of reigniting spiritual passion and overcoming seasons of spiritual dryness. The preacher emphasised that many believers start their faith journey with zeal but often lose their fire due to distractions, trials, or complacency. However, God desires for His people to remain fervent in spirit, serving Him wholeheartedly.

A key scripture was Revelation 2:4-5, where Jesus tells the church in Ephesus: “Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.” This passage was a call to return to the deep love and passion believers once had for God.

The sermon outlined three steps to reclaiming spiritual passion:
1. Recognising the Signs of Spiritual Decline – Symptoms like inconsistency in prayer, lack of hunger for God’s Word, and loss of joy in worship were discussed.
2. Reconnecting with God through Prayer and Worship – Just as a fire needs fuel, a passionate faith is sustained by consistent time in God’s presence.
3. Renewing Commitment to God’s Purpose – True passion is revived when believers walk in their calling and serve others with love.

The message concluded with a challenge: God has not changed, and His presence is still available. Rekindle your fire, and He will restore your spiritual passion.
